Awesome little shoot we put together :) No mua or stylist- just Paige and I.
Shot with this awesome musician Amalie from MYAMI music (https://www.facebook.com/myami.artist)
She has so much personality- was super fun to work with.
I’m so keen to do a bit more work with muso’s- so if you’re looking for shots hit me up!

Did this awesome beauty shoot a little while ago- it’s so great when I get to work with amazing teams like this!
We started off with a very natural look- then gradually got more and more intense. Was such a fun night.
Lighting wise for the first look, just a beauty dish camera right and slightly above head level angled down.
2nd look: Beauty dish in similar position and a bare head coming in from the back/side giving that highlight on the left
3rd look: beauty dish in similar position again- gelled bare head coming in from side
Please feel free to ask me any questions at all and i’ll do my best to answer! http://georgiawiggs.tumblr.com/ask
I had a bit of an adventure over the last 11days. Went to the Philippines, did a whole lot of diving (took some underwater photos as well! They will come later) and climbed a volcano. Even though that was a serious reminder of how incredibly unfit I am, It was so beautiful. One of the best experiences. I really need to travel more
A week or so ago my sister participated in the worlds greatest shave! Naturally I decided that I had to take a few photos- to preserve the terrible haircuts and facial expressions forever (there are a LOT of funny ones!)
She ended up raising $1,700+
A small cross section of some of my work for my new job at Mornington Peninsula Magazine! It’s a pretty cool job that has me traveling to all sorts of places up and down the Peninsula
(Top Left: The Heritage, Middle Left: Two Sams cafe, Top Right: Harba mornington, Bottom: Flock Cafe)
I’m feeling slightly more optimistic about my future in this industry now that I have a few more sources of a steady(ish) income. This sort of work is INCREDIBLY different to what I’ve really been use to, it’s often quite quick (I usually have mac 10-15 mins at each place- during which I have to find out exactly what the client wants, set up lights and take images), and I’m often taking photos between customers as all the places are still open.
It’s a world away from fashion photography- but hey I’m not minding it at all :)
Sorry its been a while since I posted! This is an image from my Metallic editorial.

I’m also offering professional retouching now, a page will soon be up on my website!

I’ll post this ask publicly just because some others may be curious as well. I’ve got to be honest- I really haven’t been published/ tried that often, I usually find that I either never hear back from them or receive a rejection e-mail 3 weeks later (by which time the team is desperate to get the images). Generally when I’ve been published it’s because I’ve been asked to shoot for the publication rather than submitting to it. I’ve found fashionising.com have been really great with accepting submissions, but I guess the best tips I can give you are to look carefully at the style of the publication and enter something that you feel matches that, a good example is Frankie magazine, they have a particular style and aesthetic- like if I shot something really high fashion and edgy there’s no way they’d take that submisson. I hope this makes sense! :)
Some photos from my shoot with the lovely Olivia L from Bella Model Management! Thanks to Sarah Doyle Hair By Design for the awesome hair and makeup team!
It’s pretty rare that I do a studio only photoshoot, but its something I’m really trying to work on at the moment, trying to improve my lighting techniques ect. I’ve had a bit of a shooting hiatus since finishing uni- I really needed the break but I’m looking to get a bit more into it again now (sitting around doing nothing is getting boring!). I’ve decided to buy some more colourful paper backdrops to play with!
Next year I’m going to be going back to uni again to study a diploma of education for a multitude of reasons. It’s the last year that it will be a one year course, photography is just way too unreliable to provide a steady income (especially in the early years of starting up a business) and I’m not at the level I need to be to get that sort of work! Anyway- that’s my life story and here are some nice pictures too look at :p
Can finally post this image! Featured in Elegant Magazine
I managed to have quite a few pages in the magazine published which is pretty awesome :D
Sorry guys! All my stuff is tied up in editorials at the moment, so I’ve GOT stuff but I’m not allowed to post it yet. Which I suppose is good?
